Procursator Update
Corey has made some model changes (adding side turrets which are actually hidden by shadows here) and fixing proportions on the superstructure, and re-textured the ship to look a bit less boring.

What a Piece of Junk
But everyone's favourite piece of junk. We'll be outlining hero systems a bit later (waiting on one or two models before we do), but this is obviously one of the New Republic's hero ships. Model by Corey (1500 polies) Texture by Slevered

Frontier Defense - Oto Command Station (EotH Starbase)
Being the bulwark of galactic civilization is no easy task, and trying to administrate and defend the amount of territory held by the Empire of the Hand against the many threats to the Galaxy Far Far Away can be a logistical nightmare. The Oto-class Starbase is a multi-functional megacomplex which is able to serve as a base of operations for the Hand, allowing a central location in a system for ship construction and maintenance, supply deliveries and, most importantly, defense coordination. A strategically-placed Oto station in conjunction with the Brask, Visvia, Iero and Teichos defense platforms collectively allow the mobile Empire of the Hand fleet the freedom to quell threats across the Unknown Regions safe in the knowledge that their own territory is secure.

Bellator Rebuilt
2.2 will be the first ICw version with the Bellator, but the version present in Ascendancy 1.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up by Robin. The ship itself is a "pocket" super star destroyer, around half the length and strength of an Executor, but also therefore less of a logistical nightmare and more maneuverable. In Ascendancy and ICW, it serves as the primary SSD available to the Pentastar Alignment, however in ICW it will be popping up in a few other places as well. Original mesh: Elliot Mesh edits/rebuild: Nielsen Texture: Nielsen This is obviously a render as opposed to an ingame shot, so there will still be a bit of difference between what you see here and the ingame version.

MotY Day 1: Bellator
It's that time of year again, and we need your support! Each day of Mod of the Year, we'll be posting new content on both Ascendancy and Imperial Civil War's profiles, including one pretty big announcement. If you want to vote for either or both mods, the profiles are here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/thrawns-revenge http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-ascendancy Just click the links, and click vote. Remember, you can vote for as many mods as you like in this phase. ---------- First up, we have an ingame shot of the new Bellator by Robin. Aside from the graphical update, there'll also be a set of new abilities to make the Bellator a lot more useful in the upcoming version, slotting it into a supportive role while also helping it stand up to the other more powerful SSDs: Reactor Switch: Toggles power between weapons and engines, giving a persistant boost to either stat. Repair Crews: Rapid-Response repair crews deploy from the Bellator, healing allied ships around it for a limited time. Resilient: If the Bellator's hull drops below a certain point, repair crews will restore a significant amount of its health over a short period of time. Passive, with a long cooldown. Microjump: One of the Bellator's advantages is meant to be its speed compared to other SSDs. Reactor Switch gives it an overall strategic speed advantage, but Microjump allows it to tactically get in position a lot more quickly than any other SSD, not to mention escape if a Sovereign or Eclipse comes calling.

Updated Faction Select Screen
We've shown a lot of the new UI for 1.1 so far, but have yet to show the faction select screen, so here it is, with one really notable change as far as gameplay goes. And remember, MotY is still on so if you want to toss us a vote, we'd certainly appreciate it!

Top 100! Naval Station Validusia
We've once again managed, with your support, to crack the top 100 with both Ascendancy and Imperial Civil War! If you wanna keep showing that support, head to the main profile page and click vote: http://www.moddb.com/mods/thrawns-revenge http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-ascendancy In celebration, here's something Slevered just finished working on. In 1.1, the only starbase from 1.0 that will still fill its slot is the Empress in the New Republic. The Hand is getting the Oto, which we've already shown. Here we have the Validusia-class Naval Station which will be the main starbase of the Pentastar Alignment. This is yet another take on a Fractalsponge design from the Essential Guide to Warfare. No name was given for the station type, however since the specific one featured in the book was Naval Station Validusia, we decided to stick with that and call it the Validusia class for the purposes of the mod. The version in the mod is also slightly more compact than the one from EGW. Soon we'll be showing the new Imperial one, but I'd imagine most of you will be fairly familiar with it already...

Redone Procursator

Redone Procursator
I've redone the Procursator model and skin, and here's the result. Still working on some of the texture maps to get some of the effects right, since things display in Substance Painter a bit different from Empire at War & Sins, but it's more or less done. The original high-poly reference by FractalSponge is included in the top right (and can be seen in its full gallery at: http://fractalsponge.net/gallery/procursator/). It should be making an appearance in my upcoming playthrough episodes that i've been doing on my Youtube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/c/CoreyLoses ) if you want to check those out, too. **These shots are from the Empire at War Alo Viewer, not Sins.

Daala vs Zsinj (Poll in description)
Poll: http://thrawnsrevenge.com/forums/index.php?topic=6308.msg60499#msg60499 For those of you who are unaware, we're dividing the Remnant tech tree into three possible regimes; Thrawn & Pellaeon, Palpatine, and currently Daala. Each will have their own separate gameplay hooks, bonuses and negative attributes. People have repeatedly asked "well why not Warlord X," however the key point here isn't just throwing in another name. It's developing distinct trees between all factions and branches, and in this case, putting a fourth spin on the Imperial doctrine, as it can be represented in the Sins engine (between the Pentastar Alignment, Palpatine, Thrawn & Pellaeon, and the final slot here). The final style we're looking for can be pretty equally represented by two people; Daala and Zsinj. This is essentially a tech focused one, where the big bonus is non-permanent hero death and two SSDs at once. Daala brings the first through the Maw Installation, Zsinj brings it through his own close association with different scientific projects. Each has one or two additional techs they can bring to the table (Daala with reunification stuff like Crimson Command and some of the Maw's weapons, Zsinj with some of his own weapons research and Night Cloaks), but not enough to justify making both. So, we're asking for your input; which would you rather see?

Cardan Station (Imperial Remnant Space Station)
The last of our space station models have been completed for 1.1, with the Empress being the only holdover from the previous versions. Filling in the Remnant's slot, taking over from the former Command Station, is something that should be pretty familiar for Empire at War players, the Cardan Station. Once this and Validusia are skinned, we should be able to have an update about the changes we're making to stations overall, primarily buffing them and filling in their upgrade slots. Slevered did make a few changes to the design from the EaW version, primarily to modernize it a bit and to reduce the poly count in order to make it more Sins-friendly, especially around the main tower.

Raider Corvette
The new Raider-class Corvette. We're doing some roster swaps for the Alignment, and this is one of them, as their new anti-fighter ship. The Arquitens is being moved out of the anti-fighter slot into the starting frigate slot, which is more accurate for its armament. The Gladiator now requires research to unlock it.

Peltast-Class Star Destroyer (New Empire of the Hand Ship)

Peltast-Class Star Destroyer (New Empire of the Hand Ship)
The result of cooperation between former Imperial and Ascendancy engineers within the empire of the Hand, the Peltast was one of several fusions of the basic Star Destroyer form and Ascendancy modifications to meet the needs of combat in the Unknown Regions. Most Unknown Regions combat involved fleets of smaller vessels, however occasionally groups with larger ships required pacification, like rogue Killik nests with massive Shard-class capital ships. The Peltast was designed essentially as a mobile, self-reliant Megamaser railgun, borrowing some elements of the old Confederacy project, the Subjugator, albeit on a smaller scale. Because of the large amounts of concentrated power necessary for the main gun, the Peltast is incredibly fragile for a ship of its size.

HUD & Icon Updates
Taking a look at some of the updated UI elements for the upcoming news post (excerpt below, full post being posted soon - click to embiggen): "First, one of the more common complaints against 1.0 relate to some of the icons- planetary icons aren't particularly clear, and unit icons tend to take up too much screenspace. We were attempting to simplify the information as much as we could, and also trying to address the icon situation in a way to get around the fact that Star Wars ships in the same faction tend to have a similar profile, making the Sins style less feasible. This was not always successful. The changes to presentation of the unit stacks/force indicators beside planets were also harder for some players to find. So, since the last release OzWolf has redone all of these aspects entirely; unit pips should take up less screenspac, hopefully still being clear enough about what they are, while maintaining the larger more prominent style for planet infrastructure, highlighting its importance and helping it stand out. We still feel that having just renders of the planets, while technically being the most "accurate" isn't always the most clear (especially when so many are primarily green), so we've tried to use some simple, clean symbols to represent them, as you can see below. We've already posted some screenshots in the past of the updated menus and such, so here are some more screenshots of some of the ingame HUD-related changes, including planets, unit icons, and all of that. Crucially, we've also played around with team colours. Hopefully these changes help more easily provide information to players than previous versions.
